How Couples Choose IVF Centers |
A recent study published in Fertility and Sterility conducted by The Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority shared how infertile couples choose their IVF centers. It is the first Internet-based survey ever conducted on the subject.
The researchers found that the most important factor was the live birth rate (success rate) followed by the quality of the service provided. Recommendation by a medical doctor and distance from home were ranked third and fourth among the factors that affected the initial choice and subsequent visits.
Other factors that affect a couple’s decision to visit a particular IVF center include cost of treatment and special expertise of the clinic.
