Bicycling May Cause
Erectile Dysfunction |
A study recently published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine found that ill-fitting seats on bicycles can cause erectile dysfunction in a small number of male cyclists who log long hours in the saddle.
To avoid this problem, the researchers suggest the following:
• choose a seat that has a V-shaped groove down the center to promote better circulation.
• ask the retailer to measure your undercarriage to ensure proper fit.
• bicycle with the proper technique: sit upright whenever possible and stand up when going over hills.
